Connecting to My Values and Moving Through Challenging Times
This workshop uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and will help participants to connect with their values and implement a plan to move towards these values.
When our life gets flipped upside down, it can sometimes be easy to lose sight of what is important to an individual and how to move towards what is important. In this workshop participants will:
- Learn skills to struggle less with their inner experiences (thoughts, sensations, urges and memories) so that they can better focus on what is important in life.
- Start to identify what is important to them, what they want to be doing, what gets in their way and what they want to do less of
- Through experiential exercises participants will explore different ways of relating to the inner experiences that cause distress
- Leave with different techniques to implement a plan for how they can move towards what is important to them
Anyone can benefit from this workshop including individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and a loss of purpose.
